Walk to School

It was suggested to me that my time here might not be as fulfilling the second time around. If possible this trip is proving to be an even more joyful experience, in spite of the mis-haps so far. Bliss.



Yesterday I decided to walk to school and visit some of the people I got to know last year. I gave some photographs that had been printed in England (thank you, Mary)

I remembered the way past the bus stop

and the local public convenience,
















over the trough of spider's webs,




and finally the local laundry.

 There are 2 more little shops next to the school now. I haven't discovered what they sell yet - apart from sweets. I met some of the children who were in Year 1 last year and they joined me on my walk. They were on their way to collect water.   Susmita said she no longer goes to school. At least I think that's what she was saying. Let's hope I misunderstood and she will be in the classroom tomorrow.
